Whats the best way to backup all of my system settings, drivers, etc??? And how does it work, does it save everything to a folder somewhere or to a disk. I don't have a cd burner, but I'm getting one soon.

It appears I can dl a backup utility from Microsoft for XP. Just wondering if thats the best way to go.

Thanks

I guess you oculd use System Restore that is built into Windows XP...

IMO, best way to backup everything you have is Norton Ghost.

The files and transfer wizard found in the system tools folder does a nice job. I don't think it will backup drivers though. It saves the document folder and outlook email along with any personal settings. For example I run my lcd at the native 1280x1024 resolution. The font is too small for me at that res so I made all of the fonts larger in the display settings. It will carry that over. Also it copies the font folder. Maybe more that is all that I noticed.

One thing to keep in mind you need to do this for all users. I didn't do this on my wifes user and she lost a bunch of photos. my name was mudd for a while over that one. ;)
