SYS ADMINS: What device do you use to get notifications?

all of here have Skytel two-way pagers and they SUCK!!! the past two years its nearly impossible to send a reply without the stupid thing failing and going into basic service.

we want to change to a more reliablle device to get notification. right now we are setup to receive system email and from emergency voicemail.

what device does your company use and how reliable is it?

Sidekick II. More of a toy I say, but it works for what I need it for. It works all the time assuming I can get a signal.

We use BlackBerrys.

With BES hooked in directly into Exchange all notifications, alerts, etc just get e-mailed to us.

I'm not a sys admin, I'm desktop support, but we all use either blackberries or two-way pagers here. I have a two-way motorola. It recently met an unfortunate demise though when it slipped out of my hand and slipped all the way into a nearby wall. Oops. 😉
