Some men view having AIDS as a badge of honor and take pride and delight in spreading it to others.
Not much point in handing out condoms to them.
Malawi: Aids Viewed As a Sign of Masculinity - Study
Ahh... and there's no way education could possibly help with this problem, right?
You can't choose a relatively limited group, and try to generalize to the world's population.
I'm curious where you get the idea that I think that education can't help.
I think that you'll notice that I said "some" men. I didn't generalize to the world's population.
Education has it's limits. Is there anyone in the western world who doesn't know that smoking is really bad for you? Yet, how many people smoke?
So then what was your point?
I thought that my point was clear:
SOME men view having AIDS as a badge of honor and take pride and delight in spreading it to others.
Not much point in handing out condoms to THEM.

So why won't the left acknowldge that promicuous sex is a bad thing?
Syphilis rates rise 1,400% among U.K. gay men
Newly diagnosed cases of syphilis among gay and bisexual men in the United Kingdom rose a whopping 1,412% from 1997 through 2002, according to a study in the journal Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Most of the new cases were diagnosed in London and Manchester, researchers say. Among other groups, syphilis diagnoses rose 213% among straight men and 22% among women during the same time period. Researchers say many of the gay men diagnosed with syphilis also were coinfected with HIV. Many of the syphilis cases also were transmitted through oral sex, according to the study.

I don't really grok this thread.
I mean, what's the point other than the obvious (that anal sex is more dangerous than vaginal intercourse)? should that be some kind of basis for discriminating against gays or something?

See this sex poll in ATOT. My conclusion is that on average heterosexual guys would be just as promiscuous as gay men, if they could get away with it.But women's unwillingness is the rate-limiting factor in the amount of heterosexual sex taking place.

It has everything to do with the left, since the left thinks that condoms are solution to all sexual diseases, which is obviously fallicious.

Although it's worse among gays, syphilis is on the rise with heterosexuals too.
Here's a few recent articles:
Syphilis is back as sex diseases rise
Syphilis cases increase in Montana
Five syphilis cases have been reported to the state Department of Public Health and Human Services since January, said Laurie Kops, manager of the department's sexually transmitted diseases program.
No syphilis cases were reported in Montana 1999 through 2003, and four were reported in 2004, Kops said. Cases of chlamydia and gonorrhea also have increased in the past five years, she said.
Hmm..
In 2000, there were 30 Pima County residents with Syphilis. In 2004, the number jumped to 129.
Hmm...
Woodell said syphilis is typically spread through prostitution and having unprotected sex, and that cases often cluster among people who know each other. That same behavior can spread the HIV virus, which is also passed on through the sharing of needles by people who inject drugs...
...In 2000, Robeson County, had the highest rate of syphilis in the nation. Smith said the county is now probably about the third worst in the state for syphilis cases.
