Syntax Olevia 30" too low-res for PC use?

So I'm looking at possibly buying the Syntax Olevia 30-inch LCD TV, as reviewed here:

http://www.anandtech.com/displays/showdoc.aspx?i=2099

But I did the math and since the display is so big and is just 1280 x 768, it only has about 50 pixels per inch. Wouldn't that make individual pixels kind of BIG?

Should I not worry about it and just hope that anti-aliasing technology will make everything look smooth? But AA won't solve the problem of all the UI elements on my PC being huge...

Even their 27" model might be too much, eh?

I'm also not thrilled with their dead-pixel policy, allowing up to 6 non-adjacent dead (bright or dark) pixels, without regard to where they are on the display. (They could all be right in the center.) I wonder if Fry's would still take it back...

It'll mostly be used as a PC monitor, so just a few feet. 3 - 4... But the idea of it taking up most of my field of vision is part of the attraction. Sort of a poor man's VR.

I hear what you're saying, at about 12' away my projector takes up a bit more of my field of vision than my 19" monitor.

I haven't seen this display, but if you're sitting 3 to 4 feet away, I'd imagine it would look pretty good.
