Syncing Folders

I have a network share that contains a consolidation of all my backups and I also have a few external hdds that I want it to by synced to. How would I go about syncing the hdds to whats on the share folder? I am using vista ultimate.

Well, I know that Vista Ultimate comes with a sync program. I've never used it though, I generally use Allway Sync or SyncToy, depending on my needs.

Allway Sync supports syncing multiple computers and is pretty powerful in my opinion.

SyncToy does 2 folders at a time, and is free.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I also wanted to do it on a weekly basis as I don't want the hdds running constantly. Ive looked into the vista sync option but I wasnt able to really grasp it. I tried google but they led me to a MS website which didnt exactly help either.

I use Sync Toy 2

You can then create a scheduled task to automatically sync your folders when you want.

I use it to manage my Music, Video and Photo collections on my home network and it works very well.
