Sync'ing audio playback between two computers

Hi. I'm trying to get two computers in different parts of my house to syncronize their playback of music in a more reliable way then just hitting play on both at the same time. Are there any protocals or software that are designed to do this? Even with all the buffering turned to minimum, shoutcast seems to stay off by almost a second between the two.

Peace,

What system or protocal would you recomend? Most I've seen use buffering that can produce uneven latency.

windows media server works well.

There is always some buffering going on, but I've seen 1000s of computers all running synced using mulitcast. The only real problem is if one computer is significantly slower than the other (as in 3-400 percent slower and can't keep up with decoding the stream)
