Here's a trick... Set your system date a year ahead when you install (or more likely when you first run, I forget) NAV, and it will set the cut-off date for the AV definitions subscription to a year from then. Set your system date back to the current date afterwards, and you'll have 2 years until the subscription expires.

I used to do that all the time with the 2001 versions of Symantec stuff. Set the PC clock ahead to 2005, install, then reset to current day. Voila`...1200 days left in the subscription. I have noticed though that the 2002 versions look to have this "feature" disabled...at least with NAV.

Also on the topic of how long the liveupdate lasts with this OEM software...is it really a year? I bought an OEM stand alone NAV 2002 and it was only 3 months worth...
