symantec network proxy service and computer browser service problems

i have a problem with two winxp services.
the symantec network proxy service which tends to shutdown 2-3 times a week

and the computer browser service also shuts downs a few seconds after i start it up.

i think the two issues are related in some ways lol but i'm not sure.

as far as i know i dont have a virus nor do i have spyware on my comp. i disabled the windows firewall and the application layer gateway since i use the symantec client firewall instead.

any ideas on what is wrong or how to fix it?
