Symantec Endpoint Security Valid key location?

essential

Senior member
I'm working on a computer that it's looking like I'm going to have to format. The person has a valid Symantec Endpoint security on the machine, but she doesn't know her key, and I can't find it for the eventual reinstall.

I have NIS 2009 on my system and I have a Symantec folder in my My Documents with my key, she doesn't have any Symantec folder in hers so I don't know if the key is logged anywhere on the system.

The system has Vista Home Premiun right now if that makes a difference.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Last Winter, I put Symantec Endpoint Protection on a server and seven clients. While talking with Symantec Support, I asked about "where do I put the Key"? I was told that the SEP doesn't actually USE the Key. At least, that's how I understood the answer.
