Symantec adds product activation, Whoa another MS like approach

It will be cracked just like MS products were...Dont know why they waste time developing stuff like this...it doesnt even slow down the hard-core warez folk.

Heh. No doubt they'll release corporate editions with the activation disabled. NO large business would EVER mass deploy somthing that required activation.

I found it funny they waited so long, the current versions you can just set the clock back to get updates after your "subscription" has run out

They will allow 5 activations before you have to start calling them.

The Enterprise Edition of Symantec Antivirus just added Activation for some pieces of it.

I'm not surprised . . . up-till-now they were extremely LAX . . I still have SystemWorks2001 completely up to date with virus protection . .. a reinstall will keep it until their new preoducts (finally) replace it . . .

Not bad for $13 - 3 years ago = thanks for the 'free ride' Symantec . 😀

find and hack out a few registry keys, and setting a clock back isnt even necessary.
