Uh, new series? No.
Just a new movie/or miniseries.

Heck, just think it could be as a good as a scifi Saturday movie of the week.

Ehh ... enough with the spinoffs of spinoffs and reboots ... and what the hell is with all the garbage they show.

How about a new series? Old Dr Who series proved you can make good scifi without huge budget... as long as there is good writing, and decent directing and acting, you can do wonders with minimal special effects and fireworks...

SyFy today announced the pre-emptive cancellation of its yet to be filmed new BSG spinoff Chrome and Blood. Said a SyFy executive "We were just going to cancel it anyway, this way we can avoid all the bad feelings and negative posts in science fiction boards"

I don't think they know what they're doing.

Who gets Star Trek DS9 reruns - Syfy? No, SpikeTV.
Who gets Star Trek TNG reruns - Syfy? No, BBCAmerica (WTF?)
Who gets Babylon 5 reruns - Syfy? No, nobody does... shit actually you can watch the entire series online from WB I think.
Who airs classic scifi movies - Syfy? No, my local over the air stations do or TNT or TBS or SpikeTV.

Thats a good thing. a lot less commercials.
