Well Syfy (and MGM) killed off all their good shows so all they have left is crap

watch some non scifi?

What's the point of a scifi channel if you're just going to show non-sci fi? That's like offering wine and cheese at your party only to have arbor mist & american. What a fucking letdown. Hell, if that's the best I can come up with I'm going to bed.

do you prefer them filling up their time slots with megashark vs giant octopus, Megalodon 4, and other related hokum? That's their only other option, it seems.

They could've picked up Sarah Connor Chronicles.

While that would be nice, that show was too pricey for FOX, so there's no way it would happen.

I suppose next you're going to tell me G4 runs completely non-tech/gaming related shows like Cops, and Cheaters... oh, right.

It's too bad you guys don't get Space. It's Canada's equivalent to SciFi, except with a better line up and No Infomercials. 24/7 Science Fiction.

What's the problem here? Wrestling is sci-fi. They use science to bulk their bodies and the matches are fiction. Science Fiction? OK yeah, WWE should definitely not be on that channel. :p

Here's a thought. With network t.v. moving into sci-fi/fantasy type shows like Lost, Fringe, Sarah Connor, Heroes, Flash Forward, etc etc SyFy has lost some viewership for its SyFy lineup.
Seems that the networks are trying to distinguish themselves from the cable shows by using special effects more, since the networks can spend more money per show. Also, the networks have more stringent rules on things like language, so special effects has become more important since they cn't match the "realism" of cable shows.

I used to have the same problem. I have given up on certain shows and networks and now manually set my dvr for 5 minutes before and 12 minutes after the advertised time.
I learned my lesson last year with Fringe when I missed the ending three weeks in row.

A while back I had a vcr set to record some stuff, and was bummed that
the Stargate show I had planned to tape was preempted by some other crud. :(

Waah I watch almost No Television now.

I stopped watching the 'syfy' channel when they cancelled SGU and Caprica. Caprica was meh, but I was mildly interested. SGU though I really liked.

The fact that they put WWE on about the same time made it an easy choice. They were nazis on their forum about the whole thing as well. I miss the sci-fi channel.

Damn, didn't know Warehouse 13 came back this season. Syfy is mostly garbage now. The only other show I like on there is Haven.
