Swollen glands?

I've had the flu for a few days now, and this morning I woke up with a really sore throat and underneath on each side of my chin it is all swollen. Anyone know what this means? I'm seeing a doctor today but it is going to be another 6 hours, in the mean time anyone know anything about this?

lymph nodes are like big sacks full of white blood cells. If yours are swollen it means they are chock full of infection fighting goodness. I give your illness 48 hours.
