Switching to Brown & Co or Datek from TDwaterhouse.

I'm using TDWaterhouse now as my discount broker and I also have a Roth IRA account with them.

I am thinking of switching to Brown & Co or Datek.

The question is, can I transfer my IRA account to either of these brokerages?

I have a TDwaterhouse Credit Card that lets me obtain free trades after I use a certain amount, does Datek and Brown & Co have something like this? How about check writing?
