Switching on an ATX PSU

okay guys, this may be a stupid question, but tell me, how do i switch on an ATX psu without a soft switch, can I just connect the positive and negative pins on the mobo for a moment?...
I don't have a clue, LMK

well, i'm assuming you've connected the psu to the mobo, in which case all you need to do is (carefully) close the contacts that would lead the the switch - i tend to find a ball point does the trick, but a little electricians screwdriver would do just as nicely. just so long as you dont touch any other pins :)
