If I'm using a m/b with onboard RAID, and I want to upgrade to a new m/b that also has onboard RAID (but a different brand RAID controller), do I have to re-stripe my drives?

More specifically, I have an IWILL KK266-R with 2 drives in a RAID 0 array. I want to get a SOYO Dragon+ because of the DDR support. They use different RAID controllers. Does that matter?

yes..probably you have to back up your stuff somewhere else and then restore on to the hard drives after you have switched mobos.

better back up your system on a seperate hard drive and then setup the striping, then copy back to RAID setup.
