Am I putting myself at any kind of disadvantage by switching from electrical engineering to computer engineering?
Yes I definitely do. I realized that EE encompassed a lot of things that I don't have much interest in. I figured even if there is less work for a CoE major compared to an EE major I should study what I enjoy more.Originally posted by: rocadelpunk

i just switched from EE (junior) to pure math with plans of getting my masters in math/licensure and become a teacher : )

That's it? At RIT the difference between EE and CE is more like 80 credit hours (20 or so courses). Totally different majors here.

at my school at for a number of canadian universities, EE and Comp Eng share all (or most) of the first 2 years, they specialize with electives in the 3rd and 4th year
