Switching from regular to plus.

Is there any advantage from switching from regular to plus? I have a 2002 grand am 2.2L ecotech.

Not if your engine doesn't require it.

Only if it's knocking and the plus stops it.

No. If your car runs fine on regular, which it should, then there is no reason to use a higher octane fuel.

No. The Ecotec runs fine on 87, any more is a waste.
