Switching from Reference 290 to Tri-X 290, Re-install Drivers?

I current run a reference Sapphire 290 card and will be replacing it with a Tri-X OC 290. Should I do the whole Driver Uninstaller process and start from scratch, or should a simple swap be fine? Thanks for any advice.

I don't recall having to reinstall the Catalyst drivers when I swapped out my reference Powercolor 290X for my Asus DCU2 290X. You should be fine.

You shouldnt need to change anything. Just replace cards.

I did't need to when I replaced my 280x with the 290 but I did feel it was a great time to download and install the latest drivers just because I wanted the most current ones available.

You may want to uninstall and reinstall anyway if you have an older driver version and play the latest games. It's not necessary if you want to keep the version that you have installed atm.

Definitely not. Same processing unit and all so you're good to go
