switching from headphones to my speakers

Every time I switch from headphones to my speakers, and vice-versa I have to go through the pain of switching out one wire for the other from the back of my computer in the sound card. Is there some Y-splitter or something so that I can just choose which one I have without having to change the cables? any way around this hassle? cuz i change them quite frequently.

yes, just get a Y splitter and when u use the headphones, turn your speakers off or turn down the volume.

u can also get the frontX panel which can port your sound card out (speaker/headphone) jack to the front 5.25" bay...your speakers remain plugged in at the back while another port is in the front for headphones - when u plug in the headphones, the speakers automatically cut out.

it's pretty cool...frontx.com
