Hi all, I just jumped in on the BFG 6800 Ultra OC deal at Outpost, and I sold my 9800 Pro EZ locally. I was wondering what to do to swipe my drivers from ATi off my system and install the nVidia drivers. I am going to have to use an old TNT2 for about 2 weeks between when my 9800 Pro EZ is gone and the 6800 Ultra arrives. Fortunately, it is an nVidia card, so switching from the TNT2 to the 6800 Ultra should be no problem, right?

However, what should I do tommorow to prepare for the switch from the 9800 Pro EZ to the TNT2, as the person I sold the card to wants it on Friday?

Here is the order of the card changes:

1. ATi (Powercolor) 9800 Pro EZ
2. TNT2 (Dell)
3. BFG 6800 Ultra

Help would be much appreciated.

Just uninstall the ATI drivers with the uninstall utility, then install the latest stable nvidia drivers.

Uninstall first, then shut down and pull the hardware whenever you change parts. I swap back and forth between my Radeon and Geforce on occasion and that is all it takes. You shouldn't need drivercleaner unless you pull the card without removing the drivers first.

Hey, about uninstalling, for ATI there are the ATI Drivers and there is that ATI Control Panel thingy, I uninstall both yes? Also, is there a specific order that I should uninstall then in like ATI Drivers first, and then ATI Control Panel?

ATI has it's own uninstaller, just go to where you installed the drivers and run it.
