Hi,

Say I have a laptop with a Mobile PIII 495 pin PPGA CPU. Would I be able to change it to a Mobile PIII 478 pin PPGA CPU?

because the number of pins are different, they wont line up right.....plus the pinout wont be the same, ie: power pins,ground pins,data, etc....
 
no...because they have different pins...They wouldnt fit and besides a 495 board is designed for a 495 chip...Almost everything is different..Size, pins, voltage, data transfer.....
