So I just bought the Logitech Z3 speakers and I also have a pair of headphones. The headphones I have are pretty high quality (at least I think more than the average joe would spend - Audio Technica A900) and it sounds perfect to me connected to the onboard audio from my nforce2 mobo. Ive tried connecting the headphones to cheap speaker sets before with a headphone out ie. Altec Lansing speakers and the sound is MUCH better straight from the onboard audio. My question is how would I connect both the headphones and Logitech speakers straight to the onboard audio and be able to alternate between which I want to use? A mini stereo splitter would not work since if I am listening through the speakers the sound would also be coming out of the headphones.

Hmmm...The only thing I can think of is an A/B Switch which allows you switch between sound destinations....The only problem is that A/B Switch is for Televison cables (Coax)....I guess you want the headphone equivilant of that....
