From the outside looking in, it would seem that USAA is one of the few credit unions that hasn't broadened the membership requirements so that you must only have a pulse to join. Some others have gotten way out of hand.
Gotta' open an account with USAA pretty quick. Looking forward to those refunds for ATM usage. My credit union (NFCU) wants to charge me $1 if I accidently use the wrong PIN and don't actually withdraw cash. Wasn't like that back in the day.
Free checking? Who doesn't offer so-called "free" checking?
