Ok, I likes ati, but now they came out with new 3.2 drivers. And I installed just to find out that bf1942 no longer works correctly (display curruptions all over the place, see through ground, etc) and it screwed up system. Reverted back to old 3.1 and works fine. ATI really pissed me off with this crap, so I think my next card will me a nvidia card (since there drivers are rock solid, and high quality). What do you all think ?

Id stick with ATI, driver issues are always easily solveable, but having technologically in
ferior cards (as is now the case with NVIDIA) isn't.

diehardware says that if you just patch your game it goes away, so its not entirely ati's fault, is it?

also, have you read up on the new geforcefx line over at hardocp ? it seems to me that nvidia is intentionally hurting their 3d image quality in order to get a higher benchmarking score. and i seem to recall them blasting ati a year or so ago for not using trilinear filtering. hmm, that sure makes me wanna buy a geforce fx card. hopefully the next big thing from nvidia is better than their fx.

Of course the game has the latest patch (1.31), Otherwise I wouldnt be able to play online, Trust me its the drivers, With 3.2 drivers I see through the ground and also get system lockups, with 3.1 ati drivers it fine. And this is ony a winXP machine with sp1a and latest updates.....

so is your Radeon 9000 "built by ATI" or "Power by ATI".,, It seem most R9000 problem comes from "power by ATI" card.

By the way if CAT 3.1 works great for you, just switch back to 3.1.
