Opera's mail client is pretty good, although I'm not sure if you can import Outlook data. I think you can. Worth a try, and remember that Thunderbird is still considered pre-release, version 0.8.![]()

Unless they've snuck out two versions since Friday, it's at 0.6
Oh and to the OP, DopeFiend's point is entirely correct anyway, Thunderbird is in a state of "pre-release but believed to be usable" right now.
If you want something that's out of beta, try Mozilla's mail.
Thunderbird is buggy too.
You need to make OUTLOOK the DEFAULT MAIL CLIENT
before you IMPORT the PST and ADDRESS BOOK into Thunderbird.
and reinstalling Windows was going to help the Outlook problem how?

I switched to Mozilla Browzer and Mail. I love them. Imported all of my Outlook files easily. I highly recommend it (them).
An added bonus is an end to all popups!

Even so I've only seen it crash one or twice since 0.5 and those were probably caused by me upgrading it while it was running.

That makes no sense at all.
Well, yes it does. ".PST" files are in a propietary format that can only be read by Outlook. So, to import information from a .pst file into Thunderbird, Thunderbird asks the "DEFAULT MAIL CLIENT" to open the .pst file and pass the information contained therein.

Last I saw Outlook used a lot of dlls included with Windows so reinstalling Windows could very well fix a lot of things, depending on the real problem.
Would that not be breaking Microsoft's OWN RULE about creating seperate DLL's for Windows Certification
(" Designed for Windows ").
