Switched MB's-NOW Wont Boot 2 Desktop

I recently replaced my MSI K7N2 Delta2 Platinum with an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard. I "think" I've made the required changed in the BIOS settings, but the PC still won't boot to the Windows XP Professional desktop.
Here is a list of my system specs:

ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard - factory BIOS
AMD Athlon XP 2700
Seagate 80GB HD / WD 40GB HD
ATI Radeon X800 Pro
Lite-On DVD -/+ RW
Lite-On DVD-ROM
1GB Kingston Memory Kit (2-512MB DDR333 modules)
ThermalTake Volcano 11 CPU Heatsink
MGE 500W Power Supply

I've been making motherboard jumper changes to try and get it stable but the one time that it did hit the desktop, it flashes right back to BIOS boot-up sequence and just continues to reboot itself automatically.

I'm going through HL2 withdrawal right now, so any help that I can get will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys,

Sting

Sometime when you make major changes to your setup, like a motherboard swap, windows gets real finicky. I've had to do reinstalls many times when replacing a motherboard.

Do a clean install of Windows. Just doing a mb swap is seldom workable. When Windows starts, it is eagerly awaiting the hardware to announce its presence while it is holding a bushel basket of drivers and settings to offer it. When strange new hardware shows up unannounced, it has a hissyfit.

Yes, I agree. Sometimes it boots to windows other times it doesn't and you need to reformat. Another time after I switched motherboards, system booted to windows and told me that I had made major changes since the last time I installed windows and was asked to reactivate windows or something like that.

the only way for you to be able to switch mobos and not reinstall windows is if your new and old one use the same and maybe very similar chipsets. or you can create a universal windows that works on all mobos......like the one i have at work =)
