Hey everyone. So here's the setup.

I have a Radeon HD 6950 1GB

I upgraded to a GeForce GTX 760 Hawk 2GB

My Radeon 6950 HD works fine. I swapped the cards without uninstalling the drivers first.

Apparently people have problems if they don't uninstall drivers first, so I did that, also ran driver sweeper to help clean leftover files.

Now I am running my 760 Hawk. PC boots, no beeps, fans work, the problem is, nothing shows on my screen. Tried HDMI, DVI, AND Display Port (I have 3 monitors), none work. The ONLY thing I see is the error code 62 on my debug LED on my ASRock Z68 Extreme3 GEN3.

I have no other PC nearby and no one around me I know with a PC. I don't know if the card is dead or if it's a driver issue.

I'm trying to install the Nvidia drivers, but since the PC doesn't boot when the card is installed, I have to take the card outta the slot, and thus cannot install the Nvidia drivers.

I was going to run integrated graphics and install the driver on the card while user iGPU, but I can't because when the card is plugged in, iGPU doesn't work even though HDMI cable is in the motherboards port for the iGPU.

Please help me out here folks? Any way for me to force the iGPU to kick in instead of the Nvidia card so I can try installing Nvidia drivers first?

it is not up to drivers if you don't see anything on screen before they are loaded.

With both video cards removed, you want to have the machine use its iGPU for video output. Of course that means connecting the monitor to the mobo's video out port. BUT it also means, usually, that you will have to boot into BIOS Setup and go to the place where you configure the video system. It probably is set NOT to use the mobo's built-in system, and use instead the video card plugged into the PCI slots - but there is none! Set this to use the iGPU and maybe you can get it to show up. Don't forget to SAVE and Exit.

Now make sure the old drivers have been removed. Then you'll have to shut down, install the Hawk unit, and boot again into BIOS Setup where you'll have to tell it to start using the (new) video card in the PCI slot. SAVE and Exit, and hope it works! Of course, this is where you swap the monitor cable over to the other connector.

Check for a BIOS update for your motherboard. The newer card is PCI-E 3.0. That may be causing some issues.

Make sure you have the correct input selected on the monitor.

Make sure both of the 8-pin pci-e connectors are used.

What motherboard do you have?
