What kind of cardio can I do that's equivalent or a decent substitute for swimming if I don't have access to a pool? I run as it is but would like some variation to my cardio.

Rowing, ellipticals, and cycling off the top of my head. Any team sport will also provide equivalent (at least) cardio.

Anaerobic factors are another story. I think rowing would come the closest, but the rest are pretty specialized (ie: cycling = almost entirely leg strength)

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm mostly looking for cardiovascular benefits and thus I was thinking about doing some HIIT circuits like such as 2 intervals running, 2 intervals jumprope, etc. but that elastics idea is good.
