Swiftech MCXC370b- can you get it for less than $50?

based on recent revies this sounds like the cat's meow of current heatsinks (well, for it's size & quality). But is it possible to buy it anywhere yet for under $48 + shipping?

barring that, unfortunately I hesitatted while I considered the MCXC370 and didn't grab the alpha8045 while they had it on sale for $30 at svc. what is the new best deal to get this?

Go pick up an alpha at 2cooltek

uh, thanks for the tip, but as I stated, i am looking for the MCXC370. Among other things, I have a FK320 case with a CPU fan duct & am looking for a HS that will take adbvantage of the intake design (thus, at the same temp differential, using external & cooler air to achieve lower temps), and besides the alpha being too big to fit under the duct, it is optimized for sucking air, not blowing. I found the MCXC370-BLA for $48, and the bare heatsink for $31, at sidewinder, but they are closed and won't resume filling orders until 1/8.

Once again, anyone know where to get the MCXC370 for less than $48 + shipping?

Well, it seems that 48$ is their standard price. I've check a couple of stores that have that HSF, and they're both for 48$ + shipping.

Actually, here's a site that has it for less than 48$. But not by a whole lot. This site has it for 47$, hehehe...

It's out of stock though. ETA is January 3rd..

If you don't want to wait until that site have it back in stock, nor you want to wait until sidewinder re-opens, here's a site that has it for 48$, not sure if they're closed for the holidays though.

Sorry, but that's the only thing I found.

thanks hanai, you pretty much found the same thing I did it sounds like. I bumped your user rating in case anyone actually cares about that). I'm building my first computer that I've ever needed a BHHS (Big Honkin Heat Sink), so I'm trying to not get TOO carried away with the bucks until I really know what I want/need (I'm interested in quiet mostly, only mildly motivated to OC). So I think I'm gonna go with the old Swiftech MCX370 for now, it looks like I can get it for half that ... and maybe I'll go whole-hog later, when I know what I want & someone has a store that's actually open!

Thanks! Anyway, the MCX-370 is also pretty cool. It's one of the best aluminum HSFs ever, and the clip looks great. You should be happy with it. Good luck with your new system.
