Swiftech Heatsink on EPoX EP-8KHA+

The Swiftech MCX462 connects to the motherboard, through the wholes next to the socket.

Will it work on an EPoX EP-8KHA+ ?

I have the original MC462A working fine on one of my 8KHA+ boards, so the new model should work just fine. 🙂

Yes it works fine I built one with that heatsink and just got done with another one and went with the Alpha, I like the swiftech a lot better

OK thanks a bunch.

Also: what fan would you recommend if I were going to replace the one that came with it?

I want a good CFM for a not-so-noisy noise level.

Well I used the one it came with on a 8KHA+ and a Dragon+, Not that much noise and good cooling, They ran 39 to 42C, The one I went with on the Alpha was a Enermax, Can't hardy hear it run and still stays in the 40 to 43C under load, That would work on the swiftech to, I like good cooling but hate noise
