Sucks that you have to rebuy the Pro 3 though. Already have have Pro 2 🙁

I sent them a flaming E-mail about that very subject. When I signed up it was for a lifetime subscription...not the lifetime of trillian pro 2.0. I also said if you need the income that badly give a person who renews trillian a break like 10 dollars instead of getting shafted for another 25 bucks!.

Ausm

hey LMK if that email gets ou any place im in the same boat as you

and plugins dont work with basic, so it is a BIG FVCKING DEAL to have to pay for it again

wait, does basic work w/ plugins too? Blah... anyway, the minibrowser works w/ 3 for me. But its still the same plug in for 2.0... so it has that problem where all links in profiles (aim anyway), will open up in IE, regardless of your default browser setting.

my only gripe with (older) versions of Trillian is that if I wanted to send a "Group Message" lik eyou can in ICQ, it would only send the msg to those in that group that were currently online and NOT those that were offline.

Has this been fixed in 3.x?

I also was pretty torked...I don't see the point in paying for a 1 year subscription for a product. I mean, I'd probably pay $35 for a LICENSE forever, not just a measly subscription. Yeah, I know the protocols and features of messaging services change somewhat frequently and I understand that they have to recode stuff. Who said life was fair?

Asshats...personally, I don't find that many differences between 2.0 Pro and 3.0 Pro, other than the GUI change.

For those of you that were once members and still have access to the member area but can't download 3 as your updates expired, you can renew your account for $5 for 1/5 of a year (73 days). That will let you download version 3 pro, and give you a significant amount of time for updates.

Yep, just did this. Pro cost me $5. Well worth it.

I run version 2 (basic) at work whereas my coworker is using the pro version. My trillian process takes 12-14 megs whereas his takes up only 7 megs, anyone else notice this?
I have another coworker who uses Miranda (which can also msg all the major networks) and his takes up only 2 megs!

i guess i bought v2 at the right time, cuz i was able to get v3 from the downloads section. it is pretty nice... the activity history feature blows my mind away... no more digging through text files! the other stuff is nice too. it looks like they have fixed the AIM buddy deletion function... as in, it now actually works. my only gripe is that i can't get rid of the video/audio buttons in a chat window... i never use that newfangled crap.

so far, i'm not liking the fact that you can't select which sounds to turn off and which to keep... it's all or nothing, practically. In the old version, you could turn off sounds like subsequent IMs, but alert on first IM... that's what was good for me.
nobody else cares about this huh ? They used to have an Events listing to select these...
