I *JUST* got out of the test. I got a 531 which is alright. The best part is that it didn't cost me a thing because the school's license is almost expire for some of the A+ tests and they let me take it for free.

It is if he is going to use it to acheive the MCSA, then move to the MCSE.

i found the hardware part a lot easier than the software part, so be sure to review some for that section.

I plan to get everything I can. Right now I am working on server 2003 but I should be finishing the other half of my a+ within the month.

that's right... it used to be a lot quicker. 😉 Nobody used to take 2 parts on separate days. 😉

The A+ hardware was pretty easy IMO. If you just took it for fun and didn't study, you're not going to pass the OS portion.

OS >>>>> Hardware (in difficulty)

If I would have been paying for the test I would do it on the same day. But things just kind of worked out like this.

Congrats man!

I remember writing A+... Hardware - 15 minutes... Software - 28 minutes or something like that... Did them both in well under an hour... 🙂

Same times for me, I took Hardware first day, software second... the books to read for those tests are crazy dry, I would have rather paid a retest fee than read the whole thing. OS was hard just because of all the old old old 95/98 questions... and the fact that they like to make them seem like 100% different operating systems.
