I have a 16"x20" camera that don't need lens, and take great picture with only one fstop (f:128).

i have a 4x5 view camera as wellm lens only does f/64 tho
 
Is that 70-300mm the Sigma DL f4-5.6 Super II Macro (or whatever the correct name is)? Probably buying it tomorrow for the grand sum of $50 so I'm curious. I figure that even if it's bad, it's only $50 and gives me a telephoto that I can toy with until I can afford a nice lens.

no its the sigm 100-300 f/4 EX IF HSM, and it cost a bit more then 50$

I was referencing this quote from you:
the 100-300 is replaceing the 70-300 because well its not so great

I would expect the 100-300 to cost more than $50! If not, post a link right now. 🙂

yea it was 800$ + shipping, the 70-300 isnt horrid but its just too slow for me
