I procrastinated last year about procuring an apartment for school this year, as a result I got stuck in a bit of a dump, it's quite homely but it's almost a hundred years old (my school is in the original Capital of Canada, very heritage oriented). It's 600 bucks. Thats just the going rate in the student area of town for a 1 bdrm apartment.
It doesn't have a dishwasher, the heating is dicey at best and it always feels like there is a draft and I've been misbilled for my electricals so my bill for that is around ~200 alone, unless something has really screwed up on my end.
Anyways yesterday I preleased a new apartment which is an 8 months lease for 850 per month a little bit further from campus, and should be finished being built by the time school starts (fortunately).
It even comes with maid service once a week to clean your washroom and kitchen
Pics of what it will kind of look like!
kitchen
Brick and Limestone

Bathroom
It's got a walk in closet and a jacuzzi tub, internet is included in the rent, everything is ploughed, my place is insured by the rental company. Mine is going to be a 1 bdrm though.
Meh, I like!
