My prof announced an end-of-semester project on the first day of class, and I thought it'd be really cool to make a movie (the class is on metropolitan politics) showcasing different political institutions in Detroit and their impact on the city.

I was checking out the different cameras available for loan from my school's medial loan service, and it turns out they have the Canon GL2 DV camcorder.

I've also got access to a PowerMac G5 dual-2 GHz with a 23-inch cinema display at one of the computer labs for video-editing purposes. I think it's got Final Cut Pro installed, in addition to iMovie.

Hope my video measures up to the caliber of the equipment! 😉
