Sweet Gave Blood Today

Kudos. The first time I had the op to give blood was when I was working for Intel in high school. I saw three people pass out in front of me and went back to my cube with my tail tucked between my legs like a puss.
 
Don't take a nap on one of their tables right after you give blood. I did that and freaked out the nurses that were in there.
 
I put in 8 hours in an urgent care clinic (think MASH type unit) at a Katherine refugee center🙂

And then I drank the blood Anubis donated:evil:

i got a tshirt a few years ago when i gave blood, i wore it today actually it says

"Be Twice as nice give blood with a friend"
 
I pass out every time. Something to do with puncturing my veins?
Just last month I had some blood work done. I think she took maybe 20mL if that. I tell the nurse how I always pass out and it's not because I'm squeamish and she says "I'm sure you'll be fine."

She draws the blood and patches me up. "See? I told you it would be OK. I didn't have to take very much."
No sooner did she say that, the sweat starts pouring down and I've gotta lay down. "See? I wasn't kidding!"
 
I want to give blood, more for selfish reasons, as I hear it's healthy for you. But I've given the little vials of blood, much less than the pint? they take out of you when you give blood, for blood tests, and at times I've felt light-headed just from that amount of blood loss. So the idea of them taking a whole pint away scares me, in that I think I would probably pass out.

they make you sit there for 15 min to make sure you are o, and you get free cookies
 
I've given blood six or seven times and passed out three of them. The times I've passed out I was hungover (aka dehydrated) and possibly still a bit drunk. Anyway, the Red Cross won't let me give blood anymore.

Boy...somebody buys you a drink, it's a nice gesture. They save you the trouble of having to digest it yourself, and you poo-poo it? :thumbsdown:
