Also, the ad says it's an Ex, not sure if that makes a difference though. Who cares if he is a lying sack of crap , it's still crap . lol

Making performance claims that are obscene is not semantics, it is lying.

It is semantics though, because you could argue that seats, steering wheel, pedals, shifters all add better performance/easier driving for the driver. I'm not saying I think they are, but you could argue it.

Except his numbers are probably wrong.

Actually his performance numbers are totally made up. He's done almost nothing to make the car faster and to give the numbers that he said he'd need at least 200 horsepower.

Actually those were published numbers. I don't have the link anymore but NFS4 found it for me at one time. And just saying I don't think it'd need 200 HP to make those numbers.

Link & Yours may be a 5-speed but the auto, if it's a similar car in weight and HP, gets 8.70 s.Link Also, if you look at the numbers with these cars here, they all (other than the neon) have over 7 sec 0-60's with more than the beretta's horsepower, and lighter as well.

Plus if this guy's civic is an auto that's going to screw his 0-60 even more.

7 flat seems fast for a 0-60 and then a 16.8s 1/4 mile.. that's odd..oh well

More likely... he had enogh money just to buy a civic... then had enough money to fix it up... but he couldn't wait to gather up all his money instead and just get a faster car in the first place. Now if he had the money all along and he just wanted to make a civic into THAT thing he's selling... he should be shot.

You can argue that the world is flat. Doing so soesn't make you less of an idiot. The guy has a REALLY REALLY REALLY slow car. He made some mods that might add up to 10 additional HP on a good day and he is saying he added $12000 in performance mods. There is no semantics here. He is full of crap. This is everything bad about rice.

1. All show no go
2. Massive rear spoiler on a front wheel drive car
3. Automatic transmission
4. Fantasy performance numbers
5. A four point harness on a car barely able to speed
6. Neon
7. A Tornado

I could go on, but why?
