Sweet!  A Clockwork Orange - HDNet Movies

why do people like this movie so much?

because its an arguement for the ultimate question about freewill vs. being a robot!

Would you rather have humans be programmed to be forced to choose the good or would you rather have people decide for themselves.

Assume you were a victim of Alex's... would you really wish that punishment on him? he has ceased to become a human being and is no better than a robot. Or understanding that human's have the capacity to change, would you forgive him?

Religious people believe that moral choice is man's god given right, hence the consciousness that doesn't exist in the animal world.

I believe Anthony Burguress said something like, "a thing capable of producing such sweet fruit should not be confined to clockwork." hence the title of clockwork orange.

heh, nice...too bad I'm home from work, so I can't enjoy the goodness of HD. We watched most of the NCAA bball games today in HD, including michigan's win. 😀
