I'm so done with Johnny Depp 🙁

maybe I'll force myself to watch this one... I saw it on broadway in the 80's after we moved from Oregon to NYC and dug it.

He's actually pretty good...I saw it in person too and really liked it. This was...not the same...if only it hadn't been so melodramatic and funnier
 
I was kind of hesitant at first and thought of it as Edward Scissor Hands 2, but it's been getting good reviews. I'll be sure to go ahead and check it out
 
Watched it yesterday, GREAT movie. Kinda dragged coming into the ending, but that ending was GREAT.

dark, classic film noir style IMHO.

is it the same chick from "fight club"?
 
I liked the movie, not THAT much singing I guess....

saw it at a prescreening a month before it aired 😀 man I love doing that!

I heard alot of reviews/critique saying it would be singing from beginning -> end. It contained alot more dialog then I expected.
 
Great movie...really enjoyed it.

As an aside, also LOVE the 21+ screenings at the Arclight...bring drinks into the theater with you without sneakin! great idea!!

No not really. Not enough to realize it's not something I really wouldn't like.

I go to a lot of movies... 2-4 a month... so we typically just go.

I'm in the same boat- hate musicals in general and was really prepared to hate this one too, but the singing just kind of "fit" most of the time and was not out of place/corney in the least (IMO).
I'd give it an 8/10- I thought it was very good.
