Woah. That doesn't look like a Volvo (aka Box). Its surprisingly very nice...I'd take one for free :D

Not really sure, but my guess is $40-50k. Being the cheapskate economist that I am though, I'd just pick up a 2000 S60, tune it a bit, and put those same wheels on it. I'd be just as happy. :)

Awesome interior, but I think I'd still rather have the black leather.

I test drove some volvos a couple years ago. They seemed to be overpriced POS. Is that still the case?

For $40k - $50k, all I can say is that the V8 powered 360HP '04 Audi S4 will rip this little Sweedish biatch a new one :D Let's not even talk RS4 :D

EDIT: The S4 is my dream car.

Ehm... what did you drive? I've driven a 2000 S60 turbo before and it was the smoothest car I've ever been behind the wheel of. Everything reeked of quality. Volvos are NOT pieces of sh1t.

Also, if the AWD system is the same one in the current S60 it's crap compared to Quattro.

True. Nothing beats quattro. I'm as much of an Audi-zealot as anyone here, but this new Volvo is just sveeeeeeeeeeet!! :D

You should be- the new Saabs coming out later this year (9-3, 9-5) look gorgeous as well with an equal amount of power. And I'm digging the dashboard for once too!

It was the S40. It was underpowered and way overpriced. A friend of mine also test drove a volve and had some of the plastic trim break off in his hand.

We took the nissan maxima over the s40. These cars are about the same price and the maxima kills the s40.

I drive a Volvo S40 and rather like it. It's the lower end Volvo as it did share *some* parts with Mitsubishi (not many though), but I think it's a great car. Top flight safety features and it has some giddy up, sure, it's not a burner, but how often do you find yourself going 200mph? :) Comfortable ride and it's pretty nice looking I think. The 1.9l, 160hp, Turbo engine is good enough for me. It's even better for me when I put it into sport mode, but I don't do that often as it's not necessary and it eats through gas faster.

Anyway, that is one fine car there. Wow. Nice work Volvo! :D

Wow, I thought you were joking about there even being a Super Touring S40 race car...then I searched on Google. Wtf!? :D That's pretty sweet.
