Seriously... I tried reading that book in 6th grade because I had read the hobbit & the LOTR books...
I gave up on that book. What a waste of time and horrible writing.

Didn't Tolkien specifically say that LotR was not written as a Christian allegory?

Yes.
But, you would have to be blind not to see the parallels.
The story of Morgoth and Satan are identical.
The themes are the same.
For example there is but one creator, Eru, and all other creators are bad. Example: Suroman, Sauron, Morgoth, Dwarves.

3. I am suggesting that when you go on TV asking for money in the name of God, you are breaking the 3rd commandment.

That's my opinion of the interpretations of these passages. Examples 1 and 2 are outbursts because of anger, using the name of the lord as a swear word. I'd agree with #3 if the evangelist is only doing it for the sole reason of personal gain. If an evangelist is spreading the word of god, and is asking for donations to further his work in preaching, then I have no problem with an evangelist asking for money. Again, that's my opinion
