SWBell DSL

If anybody has the SWBell DSL setup CD, could you please please please please please iso or zip it up and send it to me. I had DSL service activated today, but SWBell hasn't sent me a set-up CD yet.

I called today and they said they would send it out today, and it will take 7-10 bus. days.
AAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Somebody, be my savior. I can't stand friggin dial-up access at home any more

What do you need the CD for?


If you have the line, just connect up. I received a little note in the mail on how to setup the pop3 and smtp stuff (plus userid and password), but that was it. You may already be connected....

if i'm not mistaken, swbell uses PPoE, you might want to try rasppoe or enthernet software.

I called them today and they said I have to have the software in order to set up the account name and password. Their retard tech told me to download it from their website and all they have at the url he gave me is some prodigy dial-up crap!


Where can I get the access manager?

Man, that sucks! Sorry I can't help you with the CD, but if you ever manage to find out what the URL is for customer service (account maintenance), let me know! I've been trying to nuke my old email for the last two months, and every stinkin' link on the status page redirects you to public.swbell.net. Buncha friggin' morons! :|

You think the web page is a bitch to navigate, try calling them. I must have gone through 15 menus before I got to the one I needed. and every frikkin time I went into a new menu it would say, "your call may be monitored or recorded blah blah blah." I think they can tell when you'r eon a cell phone those bastards.
