Swat 4 is pretty good, anyone tried it yet?

I played the full version, and I gotta say I am impressed. Its like a less complicated but way better rainbow 6. The menus are easy to navigate through. The second mission was really creepy. Its the perfect game to go to when you get tired of blasting the endless demons in Doom 3: ROE and want a break for some tactical action. If you like CounterStrike but are looking for something more tactical that wont have your reading manuals, I would recommend this game :thumbsup:

Sorry to dig up this month old post if anybody cares, but i didn't want to make another thread. I love how smart your teammates are in this game. I don't have to babysit them all the time. I can send half my team in one direction and know that they'll do just as good as if I was there.

Ehh.. I didn't like it much since the gameplay is very slow. I loved Rainbow 6 since most of the missions involved killing all of the enemy. Here, you have to arrest people, and not killing everyone is promoted..phok that! hehehe


Again, this is my opinion, i'm sure the game is great for most people, but it didn't do it for me heheh

I can certainly understand your viewpoint. Personally I'd rather kill everyone, but it's kind of cool that you can arrest them.

I completely enjoy it. While I agree "cleaning house" can be fun, the change of gameplay in SWAT4 is certainly refreshing. Personally there are just a few too many buttons/commands to my liking. I dont simply want "shoot and move" thought either, but damn, SWAT 4 has you jumping all over the keyboard.

Speaking of Tom Clancy games, whats the latest in the R6 series, and whats the next one due ?

I like doing the missions non-lethal. Is pretty fun..makes it a bit of a challenge.

There are already so many games that have you killing everything that moves. I like trying to go non lethal since it's such a nice change of pace. Plus, zapping the non-complient old ladies with the taser never gets old.

How is the multiplayer aspect? I remember playing SWAT3 co-op back in the day with my 56K connection.

Played through the demo. It was pretty fun, although the engine felt a little dated.

Games like SWAT 4 have a lot of replay value in single player mode. Games Like Farcry and Half-life 2 don't. After you beat them, that's it unless you wan't to play it over or play online.

Sorry to bring this thread back up. But why is the 45 illegal in most servers?. Is it becuzz it is deadly accurate and with a FMJ shell can take anything down it hits?. Does anyone know why the 45's are not allowed in game servers online?,I been told it's bugged or cheaters use it. I personally use the Gal-Sub-Machine gun with FMJ. Is the 45 a cheaters weapon?.

Well..Its a good game, but actually it gets pretty boring when I played it, by the 7th mission, the one with the cult in the house, i was pretty tired of it.
