Guys,

Next month I'll be swapping out an Advansys SCSI card, along w/ a Teac 32x SCSI CD-ROM and HP 8x4x32 SCSI CD-RW, utilizing Adaptec CD Creater and DirectCD. I'm clear on uninstalling the SCSI card, but what will I have to do re the CD-RW software, in anticipated of installing a LiteOn 48x24x48 IDE burner, utilizing Nero? What kind of interactions can I expect between remnants of Adaptec and a new install of Nero? What pitfalls should I avoid?

TIA,

Jeff

0roo0roo, how so? First off, the HD is on the primary IDE channel. The SCSI card controls the 32x CD-ROM, which is being swapped out for a 16x/48x DVD, while the 8x4x32 SCSI CD-RW is being replaced by a 48x24x48 IDE CD-RW. The reason behind the swap is too lengthy to go into here (daughter's machine at college), but it's based on a Win98SE machine that I want to get backed up via Norton Ghost. That 48x CD-RW will accomplish that a lot quicker than the 8x SCSI CD-RW.
