Swapping out 7600gs for 8800gts

Sorry, but I recall readin I should COMPLETELY get rid of the old drivers. How do I do this, will simply uninstalling do the trick? Would I have to do this whilst having my old card in there, then plugin the 8800gts, then install the latest drivers for it ? Any difference between XP and Vista ? TIA.

XP and Vista use diff. drivers for video cards in general.

uninstall the old and install the new. it's that simple.

1. Run uninstall utility with your old card in.
2. Reboot. Shut down.
3. Put your new card in.
4. Install drivers and reboot.
5. PWN NOOBS!
