Swapping my HDD into another Xbox 360

So my Xbox 360 is having video issues. It has an overall blue tint to it. So while I persue repair methods I was wondering if I could take my hdd off the unit and attach it to my brothers. He rarely plays his and mine has all my rockband songs and games that I had downloaded.

Is this at all possible without major hassles?

Yes it is. You may have problems where you have to sign into live to access some of your content though. I'm not sure.

There shouldn't be any problems at all. So long as you're signed in, the content will be available. If anything doesn't work, you can redownload it.

This is only temporary so I guess I'll try it and hope I don't mess anything up.

DLC won't work without being connected to xbox live. otherwise fine.

should be fine. I swap the hdds on a couple of 360s between fixes.

Blue tint to your video... sounds like a faulty component cable, but you probably already thought of that.

The blue tint is from the GPU coming off the motherboard as a matter of fact no I get no video. I use HDMI. So anyway I just hooked up my brothers xbox 360 and it will not connect to live when I try loading my profile off my hdd or mu. All the networks tests pass including the Live one but I cannot connect still.

After running through the setup and selecting my profile it works

when mine went bad it turned green. It was fine for the first 15 mins then everything would start turning greenish.
