trendnet 452brp router ( 2dbi antenna )
zyxel m-302 mimo 802.11g pci card ( 5 dbi antenna )

i get 108Mbps (strange, can this be faster than rj45 connection??)

will swapping the router's antenna for the pci card's help in boosting the signal strength
and/or increase the effective range of the router?

also a strange issue is, even though my wireless desktop connection is connected and available. there's still an icon in the desktop tray that states 'acquiring network address',
is that because of the mimo capability?

thanks in advance for any suggestions

edit: i swap it out and ping seem to have improve from 58 to 34??
i thought latency is only controlled by cable provider?

Windows is not measuring the real speeds it just read the info from the card/s drives, But that is Not the functional "Speed".

http://www.ezlan.net/net_speed.html

5 Dbi Antenna on the Router would yield a Stronger signal in the environment. If the plugs are the same try to swap.

No harm would be caused by trying.

Latancy should be measured INSIDE your own network, not external. i.e ping your router, you shouldn't see much change at all between antenna. I can ping across 2 long distance wireless hops in under 5Ms
