Swap KT7 Turbo for A7V133 or get 266 FSB Tbird?

I bought an MSI KT7 Turbo, but haven't bought a Tbird yet. Considering the multiplier problem @ 133 FSB w/ these mobo's, can't I just buy a C chip (1.2Ghz/266), which will come set to 9x133, and then I can just raise the multiplier to 10 or so to o'c, or should I return or sell the MSI and get an A7V133? The price difference between the MSI and A7V is more than between a 1.2/200 and 1.2/266.

Also, I can still increase the FSB on a C chip past 133, right?

Can't help you on the mobo part. But yes, you can overclock the FSB of a 266 FSB tbird.

your plan seems to make sense to me (that is, to keep the MSI, and get a "C" chip). If you sold the Turbo board at this point, you'd get quite a bit less than you paid for it likely. It's a good solid board, and the 1.2 "C" chip will be a great one to use on it. If you didn't already own the MSI board, i would say that it would be a harder choice to make, but since you have it already, i'd just stick with the Turbo.

i dun get why everyone is dissing the K7T turbo... it's an excellent board with the best stability out there.... i've got it, i flashed it to the overclocker bios so that i can get the full range of multipliers... then i ran my 900 tbird to 11x100, and to 7.5x145 ... both configs have been extremely stable, and i've stuck to the 7.5x145 for the higher fsb... no problems since.... i love this mobo
