Swap file on C: or D: drive if both drives on same channel?

Hi,

I've heard the benefits of placing the swap file on a hard drive other than the C: drive, so both drives can be accessed simultaneously for better performance.

But what happens if I have both drives attached to the same channel? Isn't it that only one drive can be accessed at once?
The drives are connected to a Promise Ultra100 controller card if that matters.

How much ram, and what type's of applications? If you have 256megs of ram and do mostly gaming and web browsing, I would put the swap on the outside partition (I think D) so that your apps and whatever else loads faster and you won't really be using the swap file. If you're on 32megs of ram then you may want the swap file on the inside of the HD.

If the two drives are on the same channel then your best bet is to put it on your boot drive.
